So just as fast as everything was planted and weeded, and weeded and planted, it's all coming up already! Dwayne said that we will begin hitting markets now pretty quick. The earlier crops will be new potatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, rhubarb, beans and I don't remember the rest. What's new. I've taken a lot of pictures and just plan on sharing them.
Newt has other plans right now other than checking out. She is in
no way suffering. She's calm, content, and in no distress whatsoever, however, she is nothing but skin and bones. She spends her days sleeping in the van or in the backseat of the boys car and she makes regular trips to see how everyone is doing. She'll go check Dwayne in the greenhouse, she'll find Alton for her pat on the head and praises of being a "good girl," then she'll come up to the porch to sit by me for awhile. What a dog.
Remember the day I showed you the transformed greenhouse not very long ago? This is what it looks like now. It is full of tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers.
This is the bread that Dwayne makes every couple of weeks.
They never buy bread. Who would when you can make bread likethat!
Dwayne's brother, Garth, is responsible for pretty much all of the
flowers found around the place. He, too, has quite a green thumb.
This isn't the best picture of Garth, but I like it. I'll get some better. Sunday is his birthday! Happy Birthday Garth! Here are some of the many flowers he plants and cares for.
This is looking down the driveway to the road.
